I would give support for the fact anyone even attempted to do such a project. MP is not easy to make and takes years to get even NEAR functioning condition. This is usually done by a huge company with the financial backing and staff.

The people doing this project don't have those benefits, So they would take even longer than that of a professional company. This follows very much the same for any open-source projects. They are mostly done on the free time of the people making it.

To even try doing something of this scale should be appreciated. It takes extreme effort to make, and a lot of MP in welll known titles come out with bugs to where patches are needed. MP is not easy to make or manage.

MP is also a service that is always online, which means a server is required with hosting, and a lot of it. Just imagine what R* pays for GTAV Online to be hosted. Even hosting a small game like Bully can burn your wallet.

That server will also need to be maintained due to constant activity otherwise performance will suffer.

This also falls into a legal grey area. If anyone was to host Bully MP it can be supported or opposed. Hosting a game you don't own can backfire and be legally requested to remove since nobody but the company has the copyright.

I second Cobra on this one. It's on hold because the main man making it is busy with life at the moment, from my understanding.

Something like this, as Cobra said, is usually done by a large company with a lot of financial backing and a lot of creators helping out, doing this daily.
Bully MP is mainly just one man in a room, with a computer with little money.
You could compare it to SAMP, however SAMP was done by a large team of experts who knew what they were doing and had the money to host it.

It's also not the main priority of anyone who makes Bully mods. Most things that are being done are fixing broken scripts and making mods like insanity. The other half of the modders are usually working on finding beta things eg: Sweg, Simon, Deadpool, and myself. +Most of these people also don't have the skillset that P3ti does, and therefore cannot really help as much more than beta testing it.

Bully MP isn't really managed by anyone here on the board, the only people who could give you ANY information whatsoever is Sweg or P3ti himself. Other than that, no one really knows.

feel free to shit on my mouth but
why would you begin development on a multiplayer modification with literally two or three people who barely have the time to work and financially support it?

They wanted to revive the community, since it was dying at the time. At the time when they started, they had all the time in the world (mainly P3ti) but as time went on, life got in the way. He'll be returning pretty soon, and it IS still being worked on, just not Full Time.

Soon enough things will fall into place, and everything will go the right way. As for financial backing, they're probably gonna ask for donations to keep it running or something, I don't know. I don't know the ins and outs of everything they do.

Just look at Linux and all of the versions it has. Linux is totally free and opensource. Not to mention it's a totally functioning OS for a PC. Something that is very hard to make and this was made for free. One of the most popular too. Not many resources to do it neither.

Microsoft has a strong hate against Linux. Many people have turned to it as an alternative to commercial products. It's also very secure since according to stats Windows is attacked more than linux and Mac OS combined. Linux is so useful it is used as the base of making forensic tools to repair Windows, lol.

People begin development of something lacking resources because it either doesn't exist or the commercial version is all that exists and is too expensive. In this case, Bully MP never existed.

Bully MP was announced at almost the same time of development. He did some work on it to show proof, because you know how 'unbelieving' this community is. If you make a claim, they'll roast you into the ground until you provide evidence.
