What exactly is wrong with that? It brings more traffic to the website, getting more people involved allowing them to enjoy the website, the community, and the games.
I don't think spam posts is the kind of traffic you guys want in this forums.

This whole post count farming thing is only giving activity to forum games, not to the important parts of the forum. Making the posts only count for important forum sections would be a motivation for people to post more interesting stuff while still being able to have fun playing the forum games.

Well, it's not spam posts. Forum games are not spam posts, if we classified them as spam, we wouldn't have them. They're simply a place to chill out for all those than don't know what to talk about. Not everyone knows how to / is interested in modding. Not everyone knows how / is interested in speedrunning. If we sanction those people because they don't like a certain section than we're the bad people.

We have the forum games section mainly to provide a place for the people to go when they don't know where else to. I agree the farming of post count is strange, but it doesn't hurt anyone nor does it affect anyone. A number of posts does not signal how helpful or creative a person is so does the number really matter?
