Solar Eclipse 2017

Postby Flyken » Mon Aug 21, 2017 7:20 pm

Any Americans or guys from other countries here got to see the eclipse?

Unfortunately I live in a 67% coverage area and didn't have those fancy eclipse glasses so I didn't really see anything but sun. But hey, maybe in the next three centuries I have a chance.

83% here, seen it right at the peak time through a welder's mask. It was pretty interesting but honestly it was still sorta meh, it's just seeing some circle through a mask, it's cool to think about though.

It would have been fucking amazing to see the whole total eclipse though, and see that beautiful ring and all. Just seeing it get dark as hell for a minute in the middle of the day is crazy as well.

I was watching on NASA's livestream too on their website, but it was fucking slow so I switched to twitch, but the video was way behind everything else, until I (finally) switched to youtube and I watched the rest from there.
